Goosen rounds out Exelon

This in from the folks at the Exelon Invy

Organizers of the Exelon Invitational hosted by Jim Furyk proudly announced PGA Tour star, Retief Goosen, as the final player confirmed for the June 4th golf event at The ACE Club in Lafayette Hill, PA.

The announcement comes on the heels of another fine Masters tournament appearance by Goosen, a native of South Africa, who finished tied for 2nd place after a Sunday battle with Tiger Woods and eventual champion, Zach Johnson. Goosen finished in 3rd place at the Masters in 2006.

“Retief is a fine player and a great supporter of this event,” commented Exelon Invitational host Jim Furyk. “With the addition of Retief, this is the highest ranked foursome in our nine year history which is a true testament of the event’s success.”

Goosen, currently ranked #8 in the Official PGA Tour World Rankings, last competed in the Exelon Invitational in 2005 when he defeated host Jim Furyk, Mike Weir and Tim Clark in a playoff at Hartefeld National.
